The graph depicts the minimum and maximum of the range of power that is provided by the combination of solar and wind in various power markets in the United States.

For example, in Texas in the month of October, the daily range in power provided by wind and solar can range from 2,500 MW to 19,500 MW. That variation is almost 10 fold. MISO (Midwest) and SPP (Southern Power Pool) don’t fair much better.
