The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission has certified the NuScale standard design for small modular reactor.

This is huge. As we mentioned in an earlier post: “A Manhattan Project for Climate Change”, we commented on the vital and major role that Small Modular Reactors should play in decarbonizing the grid. These reactors can be built in factories and shipped to site. They can be located at retired coal plants and leverage the existing transmission infrastructure.
